Canon EOS-1D C 4K sample footage [Video]

Canon has just announced the EOS-1D C and the 500D camera back in April 2012, which both boasting support for 4K video. However, up until now, the Japanese camera-giant is still mum with the cameras availability and pricing. But you can bet, that both will not come cheap price tags. If you’re eying for much portable 4K video shooting, then the embedded video after the break may be for you, reportedly it’s a sample footage captured using the new EOS-1D C, check it out.

Left 4 Dead running on a PlayStation Vita? Unofficial video shows the potential brilliance of Remote Play. You HAVE to see this

While most of the world is patiently waiting for Sony to release firmware which allows you to play PS3 games on a PS Vita using Remote Play, one YouTube user has been working on their own solution. Watch as a PlayStation Vita uses PlayStation Suite to (somehow) run Left 4 Dead on a PC, while displaying and controlling the game on a Vita with almost no visible lag - and even featuring optional motion control. It's incredible. Check it out:

Look at how responsive it is, even when the gyroscope is being used to move the camera by holding down the left bumper to activate it. And the frame-rate even looks reasonably smooth. We are slightly disappointed that such a technical wizard didn't have an HD camera to hand, as the video is a little pixellated even on 480p. But we're not complaining too much - we're too busy being in awe.

If this is an indication of how PS3 Remote Play will look on Vita, we're sold. However, bear in mind that most PS3 games weren't programmed to leave some processing space for converting the video output for play on a PS Vita, so it may not be as simple as this PC link.

We always liked the idea of Remote Play on PSP, but it was always too laggy to be enjoyable, in our experience. This looks like... well, it looks exactly like Left 4 Dead. And that means brill.

"Meet the Pyro" TF2 video arrives and it's amazing, horrifying

Unfortunately, Meet the Pyro will likely be the very last of the official Meet the Team videos that we've enjoyed so much over the years. However, we're likely going to hear more about Valve's TF2 collaboration with Adult Swim soon. You may notice that the end of the video features the "Source Filmmaker" logo for Valve's machinima tools, which might possibly be related to the Adult Swim announcement. So perhaps we'll have more to look forward to after all. 

When designing the long-awaited Meet the Pyro video, Valve was likely faced with a dilemma: how do you make this person - who burns people alive while axing others to death - endearing and funny to a mass audience? Miraculously, Valve found a solution to that dilemma, and the results are priceless.

Alleged iPhone 5 backplate on video, 7.9mm thickness and HD front camera

Looks like the iPhone 5 or new iPhone has been on the run this week with compelling rumors filling up the thread of most fanboyish sites we’ve visited. The highlights goes to alleged iPhone back plate making tons of hits on YouTube that was seen from the previous image leaked suggesting same probable 4-inch Retina-display screen obvious with the added height compared with an iPhone 4S. The video also revealed the details of unibody, thinner casing of about 7.9mm with front-panel being the only glass part, smaller dock and SIM card slot that seemed to reflect the recently approved ETSI Apple’s nano-SIM standard.

Besides the significant redesign of the new iPhone build, Mingchi Kuo – an analyst for KGI predicts that the new handset will feature HD front-facing camera and placed center, like to the camera position of the iPod touch. If this will be in reality, the FaceTime chatters will have the 720p video instead of the VGA resolution on the current iPhone 4S. See the specs below:
